A Few Words About the Messenger

Richard C.C. Noble, author of Prayer Post Office

Richard C.C. Noble is the author name I use for these books and related creative works.
Richard is my given name, received after adoption.
The initials C.C. are not just carefully-crafted,
they are Christ-Centric.
And Noble comes from Philippians 4:8, which encourages us to think on “whatever is true, whatever is noble…”

Richard after adoption.
C.C. by conviction.
Noble by aspiration.

I’m a father, a grandfather, and a fellow traveler who has discovered that prayer changes everything. Born in 1954, adopted from Costa Rica, and shaped by four countries and 25+ homes, I learned early that life’s journey is full of detours, delays, and deliveries—yet God always hears our prayers.

A stroke in 2024 reminded me that time is a gift, not a guarantee. It deepened my desire to encourage others to talk honestly with God, to trust His timing, and to surrender what we cannot control. Prayer has been my lifeline through struggles, decisions, and new beginnings.

Prayer Post Office (PPO) combines personal stories, biblical truth, sincere questions, and practical applications. With wit, humor, and integrity, it explores what prayer is, how to pray, why it matters, and what to do while we wait for the answer. We’ll discover together that all prayers are answered—but sometimes the answer is ‘no,’ and even then, God is working for our good.

Looking back, I am honored and grateful to have served so many people over the years. Even during my “terrible twos”—despite my Dad’s different assessment—my beloved Mother and Sis often enjoyed me. Spilling my sister’s expensive Chanel No. 5 perfume was probably an exception.

One of my favorite recent compliments is simple: “I like how you make me think.” Another treasured exchange came when our first child asked her mother, “Mom, don’t you miss Dad?” Her reply: “I miss the way he made me laugh, the most.”

I cherish those words. Yet compliments, like beauty and charm, can fade. Truth and love endure. That gives me something better to ponder than “death and taxes”—and something better to pass along. It is why this book exists: to help you think sincerely, talk honestly with God, and express your faith through love.

At seven and a half, I insisted on the “half.” Seven sounded so inexperienced.

Now, at seventy-two and a half, I’m counting halves again—though I’ve stopped asking the calendar to hurry. It seems perfectly capable of speeding along without my encouragement.

I look toward Heaven with great expectation and greet each day with gratitude and a cheerful sense of urgency. There are prayers to pray, stories to share, and smiles still to cause. Apparently, “Heaven Bound” comes with homework.

“So teach us to number our days,
That we may present to You a heart of wisdom.”

— Psalm 90:12

At PrayerPostOffice.com, readers will be invited to continue the journey through additional stories, Scripture, practical steps, and a supportive community.

Thank you for walking with me. We are not finished products. We are fellow travelers—sending our prayers and trusting the One who always delivers.

Noble Note #1

Prayer Post Office (PPO)

Prayer is talking honestly to God.
Acting like it matters.
And realizing you are not in charge.

All prayers are answered,
but sometimes
the answer is ‘no.’

Still Learning. Still Surrendering. Still Becoming.

“The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.” — Galatians 5:6b (NIV)
