The Fruit of the Spirit
What Will Grow Through Us?
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
As we store up treasures in Heaven, what is growing through our lives on Earth?
We bring many things to prayer: needs, hopes, disappointments, and questions we cannot yet answer.
We ask God to change our circumstances. Sometimes, while we wait, He reveals what needs to change within us.
A hurried response becomes an opportunity for patience. An offense becomes an invitation to gentleness. Someone else’s need gives kindness somewhere to go.
The fruit of the Spirit makes faith visible in ordinary moments.
What good is a prayer for peace if I refuse to make room for it in my response? What does love reveal when someone interrupts my plans?
These questions belong here, too.
Prayer Post Office invites us to say it, send it, and surrender it. Surrender includes allowing God to shape the person who sent the prayer.
Fruit comes from abiding—not striving.
We cannot manufacture the Spirit’s fruit by appearing religious. We remain close to Jesus, receive His correction, and practice what He teaches us.
Today, choose one ordinary moment in which to put love into action. Give patience time to respond. Let gentleness guide your words.
There is something worth pondering—and practicing.
A Noble Prayer
Lord Jesus, as I ask You to work in my circumstances, help me welcome Your work within me. Grow the fruit of Your Spirit in my words, choices, and responses. May someone experience Your love through me today. Amen.
“Abide in Me, and I in you.”
